India: entry currently suspended for Afghan passport holders
India does not offer a tourist visa or e-Visa to Afghan nationals. Afghans must use India's separate AFGHAN visa portal, which only offers Business, Student, Medical, Medical Attendant, Entry and UN Diplomat visas. The Entry Visa covers listed cases only - for example Afghan Hindus and Sikhs visiting friends or relatives, spouses/children of Indian citizens or OCI holders, and people of Indian origin. The earlier e-Emergency X-Misc e-Visa was discontinued from 29 April 2025.
