How to avoid it: Avoid touts offering to carry bags, keep documents safe and arrange taxis in advance.

How it works: Alcoholic drinks containing methanol have caused deaths and serious illness; it can't be tasted or smelled.
How to avoid it: Avoid unlicensed or very cheap alcohol and get medical help fast if symptoms appear after drinking.
Robbery on rickshaws, taxis and public transport at night
How it works: Passengers on rickshaws, taxis, buses and trains are vulnerable to violent crime, especially at night.
How to avoid it: Avoid public transport if travelling alone, particularly after dark.
