Route summary

Visa-free

No Monaco visa – Schengen visa-free nationality

Vincentian passport holders do not need a visa for Monaco: entry follows the Schengen rules of France, where they are visa-free for up to 90 days in any 180 days.

Conditions

  • Monaco is not in the Schengen area but has no border controls with France: you arrive via France (e.g. Nice airport) and the Schengen entry rules apply.
  • Visa-free under the EU short-stay visa-waiver agreement with Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (Regulation (EU) 2018/1806, Annex II footnote); the official ETIAS site lists Saint Vincent and the Grenadines as visa-exempt.
  • Up to 90 days in any 180-day period across the whole Schengen area (all 29 Schengen countries count together).
  • Entry/Exit System (EES): since 10 April 2026 your fingerprints and face are registered at the first Schengen border and passport stamps are no longer used.
  • ETIAS is not yet in operation (official EU site, checked 4 Oct 2026) – no pre-travel authorisation is needed for now; when it starts it will cost EUR 20.
  • Passport must be valid at least 3 months after you plan to leave the Schengen area and issued within the previous 10 years (Schengen Borders Code art. 6).
  • No work allowed on a visa-free stay; border guards can ask for proof of purpose, accommodation, funds and return travel.

Transit through Monaco

Option 1
No airport – via Schengen neighbour (France) Conditional eligibilityTransit (changing flights in Monaco)

No airport: you reach Monaco via France (Nice), so Schengen rules apply (not from an official source)

Unofficial source – not verified

This rule is not from an official Monaco government source. It is based on a secondary reference source (dict.dyimin.com). Confirm with the embassy or the official immigration authority before you travel.

The World Visa Encyclopedia (dict.dyimin.com) says: “Transit/Transfer Monaco does not possess an independent commercial international airport and does not operate an international airport airside transit area. Specifically, this requires a Schengen short-stay visa (Type C), the advance travel authorization required for visa-exempt nationals once ETIAS is implemented, or other valid Schengen entry eligibility.” Not from an official Monaco government source; based on the World Visa Encyclopedia (dict.dyimin.com), a single unofficial reference site. Low confidence, not verified - confirm with your airline before travel.
