Business visit: Singapore entry visa required (via local contact, agent or mission)
Short business visits (meetings, conferences, negotiations – not paid work) follow the same route as a holiday, because the official source covers business visits (Social or business visit). Indian travel document holders need a Singapore entry visa, applied for through a local contact, an authorised agent or a Singapore mission before travel.
Conditions
- Applies to ordinary passports – Indian diplomatic, official and service passport holders do not need a visa.
- Apply online through a local contact (Singapore citizen/PR or company with Singpass/Corppass) or a strategic partner, or at a Singapore overseas mission or its authorised visa agent; ICA does not accept applications at immigration counters.
- Apply within 30 days before arrival; passport valid at least 6 months from entry.
- A Letter of Introduction (Form V39A) may be needed – requirements differ by nationality (see the ICA country page).
- Submit the free SG Arrival Card (with health declaration) online or in the MyICA app within 3 days before arrival – it is not a visa.
- Length of stay is decided by the ICA officer at entry and sent as an e-Pass by email; extensions need a Short-Term Visit Pass extension application.
- Hold an individual passport (collective travel documents are not accepted).
- Carry sufficient cash and proof of onward travel; do not stay beyond your Visit Pass validity (Visit Pass validity is not the same as visa validity).
- 96-hour Visa-Free Transit Facility may apply when transiting to/from a third country: you may arrive by any mode but must leave by air or sea with a confirmed onward air/ferry/cruise ticket departing within 96 hours, and hold a visa or long-term pass (valid at least 1 month from entry) issued by and/or good for entry into Australia, Canada, Germany, Japan, New Zealand, Switzerland, the UK or the US; no extension of stay.
- Single Journey Visa holders qualify for the transit facility only on the return leg, travelling directly from the issuing country via Singapore to India without having returned home since using the visa.
